Founded in 2016, Nucifera Body is my line of minimalist skincare co-founded with my husband.
Having always been inspired by the power of plants to restore and rejuvenate the internal body, a focus on the external was a natural transition.
For years I suffered with dry skin and eczema like conditions. It wasn’t until discovering what I consider the perfect cocktail of skin healing plant medicine that I began to consider making it for others.
The Balm was our first product. Its unisex and multifunctional qualities have inspired our line. It is effective from head to toe for most skin types. A whipped balm of kokum butter, mango butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, borage and moringa oils it is deeply moisturizing, nourishing, cleansing, inflammation improving - and you name it! The Balm can do most of it.
We believe that beauty simply starts from within, and penetrates the exterior with simple guidance from high quality, plant-based skincare.
After a decade long career of ghost writing, co-authoring, recipe developing, and producing books under the scope of my professional career, I was given the opportunity to create my own book Coconut Kitchen.
Released at the height of the coconut movement, Coconut Kitchen offers recipes that exemplify the incredible flavor and versatility of one of nature’s most unique foods.
All of the recipes are pant based, primarily raw, and stand for my belief that healthful food doesn’t have to be labor intensive or complicated.
Everyday Raw Detox is my first book that I own the rights to.
It is very near and dear to me, and the words are more relevant than ever. It doesn’t have to be hard, or expensive to incorporate healthy foods into our lives. We’ve over complicated our diets, and gotten so far away from something as simple as eating an apple for a snack!
I believe that it doesn’t get any better than eating whole, plant-based foods in their original form.
All of the recipes are raw, vegan, and focus on whole foods. They can be made with virtually no special equipment.

I have been fortunate enough to work with many talented photographers over the years, and recognize that my place behind the camera is best served as a stylist.
While the art of food photography has been put into the hands of the masses with social media platforms, I believe there is still room for quality work that will stand the test of time.
I have worked as a recipe developer and content creator for a variety of wellness brands. My most recent project with Terrasoul Superfoods for the launch of their new line Sun Alchemy.
I don’t get this question as often as I used to. Fortunately people are starting to catch up with the fact that the future relies on more people adopting a mostly plant-based diet. It doesn’t mean that everyone needs to go 100% vegan, but it does mean that more people need to be eating more plants.
For our health, for our environment, for the animals, and for our future - a primarily vegan diet is what inspires me the most.
I believe that if more people had the culinary skills (the very basic ones!) to facilitate feeding themselves - we would be healthier, happier, and more in tune with the natural world.
This is why my work promotes the plant based movement.
Our lives are more complicated than ever.
I believe the reason that the self care movement is taken off the way it has is that instinctually we know, it is out of control.
It has never been more important to embrace positive rituals that enrich our lives. Nucifera is a platform for that enrichment. A simple act like applying The Balm, or spritzing the Mist can be the opportunity to tap into the movement and breath more deeply.
To regain control we need to get back to ourselves, back to nature, and back to the things that make us smile.
